Westjet, Canada's Calgary-based budget airline (and #2 only to Air Canada) has announced that two of its new trans-Atlantic routes will operate year-round instead of seasonally as previously planned.
The six routes announced a few months ago are Westjet's first big foray into the European market. All the flights go to London Gatwick, from Calgary and Toronto, which will now be year-round, and from Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg and St. Johns. The Calgary flight will be three times a week; the Toronto route will operate daily.
Westjet is currently having a fair sale, with one-way fares from Toronto as low as $271 and from Calgary $349. For more information, click HERE for Westjet's site.
