Westjet, with a Canada-based network that's primarily in North America and the Caribbean is teaming up with Virgin Atlantic, which flies to five continents from London Heathrow but has only recently announced its first route to Canada, which will connect Heathrow to Toronto.
Starting now, WestJet will be able to sell itineraries that include Virgin flights from Heathrow, one of WestJet's few European destinations, to Africa, India, China and the Maldives among other areas.
Once Air Canada's flight to Toronto debuts next year, Virgin Atlantic passengers will be able to book itineraries that include flights to WestJet's 39 Canadian destinations and possibly some of its U.S. destinations as well.
