The North Linkshire Museum has a exhibition on travel going on until December 24th called, ‘There and Back Again, Travelling Stories from Local People’. Here’s the museum description of it :
“There are many reasons to travel away from home, not only for a nice holiday. People for many centuries have left their homes to travel for science, war, religion or plain curiosity. In this exhibition you can find out where local people have been on their adventures near and far.”
