Gumbo continues with his wandering and today comes across this scene.  Our first glimpse of a new destination -- a river, grass and some hills.  There's more to our mystery destination and progressively revealing (and easier) clues will be forthcoming daily...Keep checking in, observing, suggesting, reading and commenting along with your fellow readers.

Two excellent observations today, which while hemisphere apart have a lot in common with regards to climate and proximity to mountains.  One of the might even be correct, but far to early for me to say so.

Still no correct answers on this puzzle, so these last clues are going to make it easy for all of you.

Roderick and Jonathan, one of you have identified the right region.
