Where in the World is TravelGumbo (#213)

Gumbo will start you off easy this week: Yes, we are in a building of historic and artistic significance, and yes, religion is involved. Beyond that you are on your own, including wondering why our first clue is a man whose image isn't supposed to be there.

Progressively revealing (and easier) clues will be forthcoming daily:  to help you solve the puzzle...Keep checking in, observing, suggesting, reading and commenting along with your fellow readers.

THE RULES

  1. Share your suggestions, hints, observations and discussions with others by posting them here as comments...
  2. If you absolutely know what and where it is....please give others some time to work on it  before you pounce.  Email us your answer to tgsuggestions@gmail.com We acknowledge everyone who correctly answers the puzzle when the 'reveal' is posted on Monday in the order these answers are received.
  3. To leave a comment, you need to be a member...but that's free and easy.  Just click HERE

We need you to identify where Gumbo's visiting, and the name of the geologic formation. Good luck!

Check the clues, ask questions...the Puzzler is happy to answer, although perhaps obliquely....213-0406a213-0406b
