Encompassing just 8 square miles, the island rolls out a green carpet in terms of its biodiversity with more than 400 species of indigenous plants and trees, 60% of its surface considered natural zones, and almost 3,000 acres of marine park. The island’s geological distinctiveness creates its natural profile and its varied vegetation favors a diversity in animal species.

Marina

St. Barts is launching new energy policies and pilot projects to transition toward a global and innovative vision for the island. There are about 20 islets that the Collectivity plans to classify as a terrestrial nature preserve and extensive coral barrier restorations planned to ensure the island’s abundance of species continue to thrive and flourish for generations to come. More contemplative, more sustainable, intimate.

There are many wonderful outdoor adventures to enjoy on the island as well, including:

Really loved St. Bart’s.  Took a catamaran cruise from Sint Maarten to St. Bart’s.  Champagne, Bloody Mary’s and hors d’oeuvres to and from Gustavia.  Walked by Le Select Café which is home to Jimmy Buffet’s “Cheeseburger in Paradise.”  Split a tour cab with another couple and visited the beautiful Shell Beach and a few other attractions.
