One of the most popular tourist stops in Gimli is the town’s Viking statue.  The 15 foot (4.6 m) fiberglass statue was unveiled during Canada’s Centennial in 1967.  Fifty years later it was refurbished and moved to a new more spacious park where you can visit it today.
