They are looking at different criteria than I am for sure. I want an airport that's easy to get into and out of and where customs is friendly. Maybe an airport I can sleep in if I have to. I am a fan of John Lennon Airport in Liverpool for those above reasons. Marseille Provence Airport is also a good one for Europe . Florida has some great airports too like Jacksonville and Sanford. To me a good airport is one that moves it's lines quickly (or avoids them all together) and has lots of places to sit, and outlets to charge your electronic gadgets. I'd probably add free wi-fi as well. And a few places I can get good quality food for a reasonable price to that list, too. I don't care about shopping, fancy dining, executive lounges or things "professional" travelers might be interested in.
