DrFumblefinger enjoyed a nice lunch at Croque Madame Café, which is part of the Decorative Arts Museum in Buenos Aires.

DrFumblefinger visits the historic and popular La Biela café in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta. It is thought to be the oldest café in the city.

This is definitely on my to do list now. Thanks for the great pictures. I wish that Brentano's and Scribner's stores in NYC were still with us, they were the most beautiful stores I have seen.

Those who are frequent visitors to TravelGumbo.com know that many of our contributors love books.  We make a point of visiting libraries and bookstores during our travels although sometimes these visits happen by accident.

Who would have guessed the most expensive real estate in Buenos Aires is found in a cemetery?  Not only is it expensive, there's a line waiting to get in (seriously)! 

The Church of Our Lady of Pilar is one of the oldest churches in Buenos Aires, and a beautiful example of its Colonial era architecture. It adjoins the famous Recoleta Cemetery.
