The 32-story, 1641-room hotel was originally constructed in 1986 as The Peabody Orlando. I remember well when all traffic stopped on International Drive to allow the Ducks the time to cross the street safely - then enter the Duck pond inside the Hotel.

Thank you for the excellent series of pictures of this well-loved part of the largest of the central London parks. It can quite often be seen in its entirety on the final approach to Heathrow Airport, just West of Buckingham Palace.
