Re: Sept. 23, 2016: Feeling Sheepish

GarryRF ·
Farmers in Scotland have taken to spray painting their sheep in an effort to stop sheep rustling. The first effect has been bus loads of Japanese tourists wanting to stop and take photos. What next ? They'll soon be selling orange sweaters to tourists..

Wow! That's a lot of sheep! I imagine there are few places that offer such succulent moist grass for these desert dwellers. Must have been fun to stop and study them. And good that you didn't let those little dogs out of the car, as the sheep likely would have killed them.

I've never written a review and used the opening paragraph to criticise a few idiots I may have encountered. Of which there have been many. Nor have I needed to draw on the bad experience of another to make a critical point. I've never heard it called "Boring" and I've been here for 60 years. I suppose this will add to the list of "Warm Beer" questions I find boring whenever I visit my American Family. Nice photo's.

Likewise I was enthralled to be standing there. There was no line on the chilly day of my entrance. Didn't want to leave, but just stare. I was on a road trip from London up north, but I just had to make this detour and it was totally worth it.

Hi IslandMan You are so right. I could've sat there and watched these two lovely animals all day, but unfortunately the amount of daylight we had was rapidly dwindling. Oh well, there's more traveling to be done and more "Wow!" moments to capture. Thanks for the feedback. Take care and best wishes to you.

Remember driving around Malta and visiting Rabat. You're right - it's tiny - as are the roads. We followed a road out of Rabat that got smaller and smaller. Then the road became a dirt track. Then we stopped when the track had a gate. And behind it were these Maltese Sheep. Certainly look the same - they must be a few years old now ! (Shhh !)

It's all very understandable. Everyone needs a nap. And everyone -- even sheep -- like to spend an occasional day strolling in a Spanish city.
