Re: Chutzpah! Domino Pizza's Italy plans
Unless they can figure out a way to deliver superior service (eg. open 24/7, far reaching free delivery), I can't see them winning with this move. Italian pizza is just so much better than Dominos. Perhaps they'd like to open a coal outlet shop in Newcastle as well?

Re: Finishing college. Need help planning trip to U.K,
England is only as big as Florida ! I haven't seen a Guide book that sub-divides us! Wales is full of Castles, Mountains and Lakes. Tourists often divide England between the North and South. The North is often cooler and wetter than further South. But your Dollar will go twice as far up here in the North! And we're much friendlier. Have a look at places you'd like to visit. York (the old one) will keep you busy for 2 days. Train or Bus from Liverpool. Or a day or two in Europe from Liverpool...

Re: Aug 4. 2016: Delaware City. Delaware.
Delaware City has only one set of traffic lights - how's that for small ! I only get crab when visiting the family in the US. Not here in the UK. I've had crab from Delaware - Chesapeake - Rehoboth Beach (Hooters) down to Ocean City Maryland. All gorgeous and worth waiting for. I've learned to say "These are the best ever" because that's what the locals say. Best Pizza - Best Crab-cakes - Best Chilli Fries. When my son was working his way through University he worked the late shift in a...

I believe I recall reading somewhere, sometime, that in fact the purpose of the gargoyles was to project roof runoff away from the facade of the building in order to prevent joint damage and seepage. Can't verify, but makes sense to me.

Re: easyJet's founder launches cut-rate food store
I really do like this idea because a lot of people are too proud to go to food banks if they are in need and at least they can get a few things there. Also , if it spreads its a good way for travelers to pick up a few snacks for the road. Re: Name Your Favorite Restaurants for Atmosphere, Past or Present
One of the most memorable places I ever ate at was a small taco joint in La Paz, Mexico. Sorry, but I don't remember its name. I was on a guided whale watching/kayaking trip and would NEVER have gone in except for our guide saying it was safe to do so. The outside was dingy, dirty, poorly kept -- signals for dysentery if I'd ever seen them (but apparently expected -- make it nice and the vandals will deface it). The inside was clean and simple, but the food was absolutely outstanding!

Re: When Nothing But the Best Will Do - Pizza
Well. they certainly hit the spot in New York with Di Fara's, but an awful lot of the choices look as if the prize was for most unusual accumulation of ingredients, rather than best pizza. Surely there is an outer limit, where you say "this is not a pizza, it's a take-off on a pizza?" Sort of like when you make a birthday cake and ice it to look like a burger on a bun...

Re: When Nothing But the Best Will Do - Pizza
PHeymont -- You're like the guy who goes to Baskin-Robbins and wants vanilla! But I agree. Too many pizza places try to go for outlandish toppings rather than making the BEST pizza possible. Generally I like little mom and pop joints best.
