And I'm partial to the 55 Bel Air. Probably the subdued black and white, not the peacockish "Jamaican Bay" color.

Hi Garry RF You are correct in assuming there are more cars. Actually, my next "Cruise Night" blog will be published tomorrow (Tuesday, August 12/14) featuring five cars from the 1930's. That blog will be followed in a few days or weeks with another "Cruise Night" blog featuring cars from the 1940's and 1950's, which will be followed in another few days or weeks with another "Cruise Night" blog or two featuring cars from the 1960's, which will be followed in another few days or weeks with...

Stay tuned for my next blog...Cruise Night, the 1940's and 1950's (to be published Tuesday August 19/14), which will feature five cars from these two decades. I hope you will enjoy them. I gotta run. The remains of Rome are great to see, it cannot be denied, but it's those lovely little bridges that will be the target when I go to Arles. And I will, no doubt. The village within the walls reminds me of the "anfiteatro" in Lucca Italy. It was filled by houses until the 19th century when it was cleared, leaving the ring of buildings on the perimeter and creating the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro. I had the good fortune of renting a large apartment in the perimeter ring of buildings, overlooking...

When you get to Arles, you may want to look at another bridge, this one crossing the Rhone. The clip below is from this website , which also has several other side-by-side comparisons of his paintings and today. The bridge here is modified or replaced, but the steps and the walk along the Rhone have not. And here's another image from my visit, looking down the Canal d'Arles from near the Langlois Bridge (the official name of the "Van Gogh Bridge.")

In the UK at twilight we get Starlings gathering for a dance just as the sun has set. 60 - 100 thousand gather to perform a spectacular formation dance in many locations. Then just as quick they'll dive back into the country side for another day. Usually lasts about 10 minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1Q-EbX6dso
