One of the things I most remember about driving about in South Africa were all the protea. Flowering bushes everywhere! And, of course, great floral displays of this interesting African plant in shops and hotels.
There are many day trips you can take from Cape Town, one of the of the best being a drive down the Cape Point Peninsula to it’s tip. The day will provide you with beautiful scenery.
