Holidays in Buenos Aires

I’m a sucker for holiday decorations and have been so since I was a kid.  I know it’s generally quite commercial, but it makes me smile and puts me in the holiday spirit.

01 Holidays in Buenos Aires

Last December as we made our way to Antarctica and into the South American summer, I had few expectations of finding much in the way of seasonal decor.  Enroute, we spent a night at the Hilton Hotel in Buenos Aires, a facility I most remember for its very spacious lobby.  I was pleased to find a nicely decorated Christmas tree, some huge, wrapped packages, and a gigantic nutcracker in the lobby.
