The terms “we” “us” or “our” as used herein refer to TravelGumbo LLC. The terms “you” “your” “user” or “member” refer to you, or to anyone using your computer, other device or account.

TravelGumbo.com is hosted by hoop.la, which provides our software and servers; we are not responsible for any rules, terms or actions of hoop.la as they may apply to you.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
We will not share, disclose or sell any of your personal information supplied to us, unless necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request, or to address fraud, security or technical issues. However, this Privacy Policy is not intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party’s, including a government’s, request to disclose your information.
Transfer of Information:
In the event that TravelGumbo is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. The promises in this Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity.
Non-Private or Non-Personal Information:
We may share or disclose your non-private, aggregated or otherwise non-personal information, such as your public user profile information, photos, public posts or comments, people you follow or who follow you, or the number of users who clicked on a particular link (even if only one user).
Changes to this Policy:
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time at our sole discretion. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will be posted on TravelGumbo.com under Privacy Policy. It is your responsibility to periodically check for changes in the privacy policy, although TravelGumbo will make reasonable effort to notify all users of significant impending changes. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
Privacy of Children:
TravelGumbo believes protecting the privacy of children is very important. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information through the TravelGumbo website from persons under 18 years of age. Our Terms of Use require that all users must be at least 18 years of age to use TravelGumbo.com, and new members are required to acknowledge that at the time of joining. If you are under 18 years of age, you may not use TravelGumbo.com
Security:
We cannot guarantee that the security measures we implement in connection with the operation of the Site will absolutely prevent others from accessing or acquiring any information that you provide while using the Site. You can do some things to help protect the security of your information. For instance, create a complex password and never give out your password since this is what is used to access all of your account information. Also, remember to sign out of your account and close your browser window when you finish visiting our Site, so that other people using the same computer will not have access to your information.
Public Forums and Private Dialogs:
Our site makes public forums and private dialogs available to its registered users. We operate these forums, but the website is hosted by hoop. la and we are not responsible for the content posted in any forums or dialogs. Please remember that any information disclosed in any Forum becomes public information. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose any personal information to avoid receiving unsolicited messages from other parties.
Cookies and Information Collected by Technology:
TravelGumbo and/or hoop.la may use cookies to keep track of website activities, save your password or deliver content specific to your interests. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you’ve visited. The only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. Third-Party Sites and Information:
The Site may contain links to other Web sites that are run by third parties such as Content Providers, links to news, and Advertisers. Once you’ve clicked on a link or button activator for an outside Site, you will leave the Site and be taken to sites that we do not control, and our privacy policy does not apply on those sites. You must read the privacy policy of the third party Web site concerning how personal information will be used. We may provide content created by third-parties on certain of our Sites.
SOCIAL MEDIA SITES:
When you interact with any page or account on a social media platform, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Tumblr, YouTube, or Pinterest, through TravelGumbo, or if you log in to TravelGumbo through such account, we may collect the personal information that you make available to us on that page or account including your account ID or “handle.” However, we will comply with the privacy policies of the corresponding social media platform and we will only collect and store such personal information that we are permitted to collect by these social media platforms.
California Resident Privacy Rights:
As of January 1, 2005 California’s “Shine the Light” law became effective. California residents who provide personal information in obtaining products or services for personal, family or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once a calendar year information about the customer information we shared, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year (eg., requests made in 2005 will receive information regarding 2004 sharing activities). Please be aware that not all information sharing is covered by the “Shine the Light” requirements.
As of January 1, 2014, California’s Do Not Track law (B&PC Section 22575) requires consumers be notified of several different things. In compliance with those requirements, please note:
a) The categories of personally-identifiable information that we may collect from individual consumers or visitors to the site are listed above in the section Cookies and Information Collected by Technology. As stated we share that information with no one except under legal order from government entities.
b) As stated in the section Changes to This Policy, above, it is your responsibility to occasionally review the current policy as posted on this site. However, TravelGumbo will notify all registered members by e-mail of significant changes. The effective date of all changes is the date of initial posting on this site.
c) TravelGumbo does not utilize tracking cookies and does not collect any information about individual consumer’s online activities over time and across third-party websites or online service. Therefore, there is no procedure for response to Do-Not-Track signals from web browsers.
d) As noted above under Third Party sites and information, TravelGumbo has no control over the policies of third-party organizations, such as advertisers, advertising services, publishers of items that are linked to the site. Clicking on advertisements or links outside travelgumbo.com may result in information being collected by those sites.
